«Geo» — this is how Greeks call the Earth. Back in ancient times the man made first attempts to «graph the Earth» using the instruments then at hand. Today, advanced digital and electronic technology is at our disposal. And just as it proved impossible centuries ago, it is still not feasible to reflect by one brush and on one canvas the variety of the world's faces. But the man has invented mosaic!
A mosaic is harmony of the whole in multiformity of pieces attached together. Thats exactly how we see the Earth. And we also would like you to discover this fantastic world — the mosaic world out of so many pieces so different from each other. Our initiative roots on this aim. That is why our name speaks for itself — GeoMosaic.
Seeing is believing! GeoMosaic is composed of photos that can transport you to a distant (and not too distant) spot in the world. Peru's sand dunes in the broiling sun and the Arctic underwater world of the Barents Sea, life of bustling Delhi's railway station areas and of Quechua Indian communities in Ecuador jungles, dynamic rhythm of (somewhat alike?) weekdays of the Muscovites and New Yorkers… These are only sketchy bits of GeoMosaic.
We are tired of thoughtless photos that have swamped the Internet. We vote for quality photography! And even though not all our authors are professional photographers, all photos you see in GeoMosaic have been carefully selected and are indeed worthy of your attention.
